It was converted into a royal palace in 1333, then in 1492, the site became the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella (where Christopher Columbus received royal endorsement for his expedition).  You will have some time to explore the city of Granada at night.  [Hotel: Granada]

It was built during the height of the Portuguese Renaissance, and is a prominent example of the Portuguese Manueline style, but also incorporates hints of other architectural styles.   The structure was built from lioz limestone and is composed of a bastion and a 98 foot, four-story tower.  You will have some free time in the evening in Lisbon [Hotel: Lisbon]
