A highlight for many of our guests –  this day is packed full of surprises.  We start the day taking the ferry from Sorrento to Positano (around 30 minutes).  Once we arrive, we will head to the famous Blue Grotto (weather permitting).  The Blue Grotto is a natural sea cave 200 feet long by 80 feet wide and has been known since ancient Roman times. It was first used as Emperor Tiberius’ personal swimming hole.

The mouth of the cave entrance is around 6 feet wide and 3 feet high, so visitors must enter with small rowboats seating 2-4 people each.  Once inside, you will see that the water is illuminated with a turquoise glow from the sunlight passing through an underwater cavity.

We will also have the chance to ride the Monte Solaro Chairlift.  This single person chairlift will take you to the highest point of Capri – Mount Solaro (1932’).  You will have time at the top to explore the most panoramic views of the island.
