Day 1 – US-Iceland
Depart the US for Iceland
Day 2 –REYKJAVIK CITY
This morning we arrive early at Keflavik airport. You will have time to rest, relax, and explore the Icelandic capital city of Reykjavik. Optional Tours: Reykjavik Whale watching, Sky Lagoon

Day 3 – REYKJAVIK – BLUE DIAMOND ROUTE
Today we tour the Blue Diamond Route exploring the Reykjanes Peninsula. Bridge between continents, Seltun Geothermal Area, and the lava fields of the recently erupted Mount Fagradalsfjall Volcano. We will take some time to relax and enjoy the Blue Lagoon (INCLUDED). You have never experienced anything quite like it in your life! After leaving Blue Lagoon, we will drive to Reykjavik. You will have free time in the evening.

Day 4 – REYKJAVIK – SELFOSS (GOLDEN CIRCLE)
Today we travel the famous Golden Circle, making scenic stops in Thingvellir National Park (UNESCO). We will explore the Mid-Atlantic Rift, which is a visible fracture in the earth that separates the North American tectonic plate from the Eurasian plate. We will visit Gullfoss waterfall and the active geysers Geysir & Strokkur. You will also have the chance to eat lunch inside a tomato farm greenhouse (INCLUDED).

Day 5 – SELFOSS – VIK
We continue our journey east to explore the south coast, visiting Skogafoss waterfall and having a chance to walk behind the 200-foot volcanic glacier fed, Seljalandsfoss on the way. Next, we will get up close to Solheimajokull Glacier. OPTIONAL TOUR: Glacier walk. We will continue our journey to the charming village of Vik. You will have free time in the evening to explore Vik.

Day 6 – VIK – SOUTH COAST
In the morning you will have free time in Vik. OPTIONAL TOUR: Katla Ice Cave Tour. Later on, we explore more of the magnificent South Coast and its black sand beaches. Some of our stops will be the impressive rock formations of Reynisdrangar, Dyrholaey (arch with the hole), and the 2 million-year-old, deep, & winding Feather River Canyon – Fjaðrárgljúfur.

Day 7 – VIK – US
Airport transfer in the afternoon. Flight to the US

Great! Icelandair is usually the best but depends on which airport you are departing from.
August is one of the best months to visit with highs being normally in the 50s and lows in the 40s. It can sometimes be warmer than that, sometimes cooler. The weather changes quickly in Iceland. Hope you can join us!
